The Hugh Bowman-John O’Shea combination made it and Oaks Day double at Flemington as Rocha Clock claimed the first running of the Inglis Bracelet (1600m).
After winning on Berdibek in the Off The Track Subzero event, Bowman came with another late run to pounce on the lead in the closing stages. Chris Waller’s Re-edit was unlucky getting out late to run second beaten a short neck.
Jockey Hugh Bowman was pleased to see the talented filly salute at her first run at Flemington.
“I was able to get the run that I’d hoped I might from a good barrier. She didn’t quite show the turn-of-foot that she can so I put it down to being here for the first time.”
“My filly is really dynamic if you ride her to have a turn-of-foot late, I have had a bit to do with her. She’s been brought down here in fine order, she looks fantastic and she’s delivered on the day.”
Rocha Clock jumped as the $3 race-favourite with TAB, while Re-edit who flashed home for second was $19 with TAB.
